Residencies and cultural projects Call for applications: RESIDENCY LILU December 01, 2026 - January 26, 2027
On the roof of Neubad Lucerne (cultural centre in a former indoor swimming pool) sits a 4.5-room apartment. In the DIGITAL RESIDENCY we‘re looking for individuals or groups from the field of visual design/digital arts to live and work in Neubad for six to seven weeks. In addition to the spacious apartment as a place to retreat and work, the inspiring (empty) pool or the outdoor space or exterior facade will be available as a workspace from december 24th till january 26th. The output goal of the residency is a visual light installation in a space in Neubad indoor or outdoor.The resulting work will be shown at the legendary Neubad New Year‘s party and subsequently at the Lilu Light Festival Lucerne.
RESIDENCY LILU – What we offer - A spacious 4.5 room apartment with kitchen, bathroom, large terraces (www.neubad.org/wohnung) - Technical support, technical equipment and furniture (by arrangement) - Short-Film documentation (2-3 Minutes) of the creation process and the residency stay, Photo Documentation of the result - A production budget up to CHF 10,000 - A meal allowance of up to 5,000 CHF (depending on group size) - Bistro discount, bistro vouchers, free entry to Neubad events - Possibility to work undisturbed in the pool from 24.12.2026 to 08.01.2027
RESIDENCY LILU - Project output specifications - Visual projection design (projections, installations, interactive design) in the eventroom „pool“ or the outdoor space or the exterior facade - It must be possible to hold events in the pool while the installation is running - The resulting work will be part of the Lilu Light Festival Lucerne 14.01.-24.01.2027 and shown at the Neubad New Year‘s Party 09.01.2027.
